Spain's terror threat has been raised to 'severe' - sparking frantic warnings for British holidaymakers.
Tourists in Britain looking to head off to Spain are being warned over the increase in threat.
Police patrols have reportedly been stepped up across the European country, as well as its islands.
Cops are on hand to deal with any trouble amid claims ISIS, the terror group, have issued threats to tourist spots.
Among the most popular destinations for Brummies heading abroad to Spain are Benidorm, Barcelona and capital Madrid.
All three have been threatened by ISIS, reports say.
Spain's terror threat level was bumped up to four out of five, with the Daily Star reporting that the British Foreign Office say attacks in speak are 'likely'.
Operation Summer is aims to “take full action to obtain information in order to prevent terrorist acts” while also “reinforcing security measures at events and places that will attract a large number of people”.
The government's travel advice for Spain on the Foreign Office website says: "Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in Spain. Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreigners.
"The Spanish authorities take measures to protect visitors, but you should be vigilant and follow the instructions of the local authorities.
"On 17/18 August 2017, there were 2 terrorist-related incidents where vehicles were driven directly at pedestrians, resulting in injuries and loss of life. These were in the Las Ramblas area of Barcelona and Cambrils, near Salou (100km southwest of Barcelona)."
It adds: "Spanish police have disrupted a number of groups suspected of recruiting individuals to travel to Syria and Iraq from 2015 to the present date. Some of them expressed an intention to carry out attacks in Europe.
"There’s a heightened threat of terrorist attack globally against UK interests and British nationals from groups or individuals motivated by the conflict in Iraq and Syria. You should be vigilant at this time."
